If I could pick a month to last longer than four weeks, September would probably be my first choice. Everywhere you look, the grasses and trees are putting on their best autumn clothes, preparing a golden farewell before the onset of cold and snow.

It is an extreme pleasure to be in the grasslands on a day like this, with light streaming through the clouds, a hint of pink sky at the horizon, and the grasses turning into patches of green, copper, and gold. The original drawing is in the collection of someone who grew up on a ranch in this glorious country.
